I see plenty of columns listing things you should not feed to a cat which I think should be obvious - chocolate, onions, dairy...basically heavy human food that is questionably something we shouldn't eat either. But we often get sushi, we grill chicken and salmon at home. There are times when we have too much, and there is of course a temptation to give our felines friends a bit of protein that, to me, is "fresher" than kibble, less engineered or full of preservatives. Nothing drowned in sauce, spices, or butter - just healthy, grilled salmon or a piece of raw tuna. If I have tuna from a can, I may let them lap up the water drained off the top (in water, not in oil). Is there a health benefit to occasionally giving your cat the fresh version of what's refined into their food?

Both my kitties like to eat "human" food. They're bigger mooches than my dog!
Is it ok to feed table scraps to them?

I heard that milk might be bad for some cats. I've been giving milk to my newly adopted cat, but she gets diarrhea.
